I love being a designer - working through problems, leading the design as part of a multi-disciplinary product team, and creating tangible solutions that can delight and really make a difference. I’m passionate about delivering the right user experience, leaving my ego at the door, and smashing assumptions through in-depth qualitative research, and quantitative data to validate my decisions with the team and stakeholders, while aligning to business goals.
I’ve been working as a designer for over 15 years in a variety of industries including media and publishing, advertising, health, and travel. My background is in digital user interface and visual design, moving into user experience design eight years ago. The projects I’ve worked on have also been equally diverse, ranging from native mobile apps (LloydsPharmacy), to SaaS and design systems (The Financial Times), through to online advertising and website design (The Guardian, Somethin' Else, and Scholz & Friends).
I work on end-to-end product development, and particularly enjoy the challenge of green field projects where I can completely immerse myself into the subject matter. Through the process I will start with researching and understanding the problem, developing solutions and prototyping, through to user testing and evaluating success. The value of the work that I bring to a product is a higher level of satisfaction and improved usability for the end user.
